The guidelines for reopening of schools issued by the State of Ohio recommend that all schools formulate a face covering policy for their individual schools. Though recommendations concerning face coverings vary across platforms GSCM is requiring face masks for faculty/staff and students in accordance with the guidelines set by the American Academy of Pediatrics and CDC. As we continue to understand more about this novel virus, we know that COVID-19 spreads primarily by respiratory droplets. Face masks not only protect the wearer from inhaling the respiratory droplets, but also more importantly protect others by decreasing the spread of the respiratory droplets. Learn more here.
