Act of Consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary

O Immaculate Heart of Mary, Queen of Angels, look with tenderness upon our school. Today, we wish to show you our filial love and to render you homage by this solemn act of our will. We offer you our whole being, body and soul, faculties and senses, sorrows and joys, all that we possess, and all that we love.

O Virgin Mother of God, we consecrate our school to your Immaculate Heart. Receive us as your children. May your Heart be for our clergy, leaders, teachers, catechists, parents and students; the young and the old; the healthy and sick; and especially those who have fallen from the path that leads to God.

O most compassionate Heart of Mary, watch over our minds and hearts and preserve them from the flood of pride, impurity and paganism of which you did lament so bitterly at Fatima.

From this moment, you are named Queen and Mother of The Good Shepherd Catholic Montessori. Look after our spiritual and temporal well-being, hear our prayers, mediate for us the graces needed to help us thrive. Help us to be a school of peace, encouragement, joy and deep devotion to Our Lord.

On our part, we promise to imitate your virtues by a true Christian life, in a spirit of repentance; by frequent confessions and holy Communions, by fervent participation in the Mass, through works of service toward our neighbor, and through sacrifice and prayer. We accept all the sacrifices that a Christian life imposes on us, and we offer them to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, through your Immaculate Heart, in union with the sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world.

May the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, together with thy Immaculate Heart, be ever-present at this school, so that living consecrated to your love and service, we may one day deserve eternal happiness in the presence of Our Father in heaven.
